The Central Intermediate Unit # 10 (CIU # 10) Professional Education Council is comprised of professionals representing our twelve local school districts, CIU # 10, private schools, charter schools and higher education. During the 2010-2011 school year the Council will communicate via email. Formal meetings will be held on an as needed basis. Council and member responsibilities include: - conduct, through surveys and other formal and informal means, ongoing assessment of the professional needs of local educators. - encourage and facilitate the development of professional education activities for credit. - evaluate, approve, and process professional education course proposals for credit. - help facilitate each local school district’s Act 48 Professional Education Plan of activities as included in their Strategic Plan.
